Any DOCTORS out there? Help!?
l have a SEVERE sinus infection and ear ache. I've had it since Sunday.
/>Monday l went to an urgent care center, and the doctor there gave me
antibiotics. I am having the WORST, most excruciating pains in
my temple and it sometimes makes it is way behind my eye. This is a pain
that I've never in my life felt before. I've done everything
the doctor told me to do. I've tried steam, taking showers to breath in
steam, and a some medicines and home remedies. The only thing that is helping is Excedrin, which only takes the edge off and dulls the pain for an hour or two. Then the pain comes back. Since taking my antibiotics, my ear has not really been bothering me. But the pain in my head will not subside. A few more days of this and I am seriously going to start to worry.
I have been suffering severe sinus infections all my life. It
is very painful & annoying indeed. What i usually do to get some relief &
be able to breathe for at least a little bit is fill up the small plastic
bottle with hot water(as hot as you can handle, but don't burn yourself) &
hold it on my temple & sides of my nose for at least 10 minutes each. I
change water in the bottle as necessary to make sure it stays hot & do it
as often as possible. This remedy have always helped me. Together with antibiotics you should be fine. However if you still be severely congested in 2 -3 days you should go to the doctor again. Hope this helps.
